2021 Firehouse Chili Raises More Than $2000 For United Way Of Paducah-McCracken County

Press release from the City of Paducah: November 19, 2021 Today's Firehouse Chili event at Paducah Fire Station No. 1 raised $2055 for the United Way of Paducah-McCracken County. The community was invited to enjoy a chili meal at the fire station. Paducah firefighters cooked the chili and helped serve; department heads provided funds to purchase supplies; and several businesses showed their community spirit by donating food, supplies, or funds. There was some chili left over which will be used to feed the guests tonight at the Warming Center at Washington Street Baptist Church. Thank you to the following sponsors: In 2019, Firehouse Chili raised $1700 dollars. Annually, City of Paducah employees raise approximately $10,000 for the United Way through fundraising events such as Firehouse Chili and employee contributions out of paychecks. Thank you McKenzie Huskey and the entire Paducah Human Resources Department along with Assistant Fire Chief David Denton and the Paducah Fire Department for coordinating this successful event!
