Description
The Material Handler/Forklift Operator unloads donations from containers and move goods to appropriate production areas. This position is also responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and load products. Material Handlers / Forklift Operators will be furnished with certification after completion of Evergreen Goodwill training class. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide a smooth flow of goods to the production floor. Use cardboard packers and identify problems. Maintain a clean work environment. Maintain forklift equipment and report any issues. Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents. Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Education and/or Experience: No previous experience or education required Ability to read, speak and write English and perform basic math skills Ability to work with a diverse team Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: Goodwill forklift certification required, must meet eligibility requirements: Valid WA State driver's license* (depending on location) Ability to pass drug and alcohol test and demonstrate good safety practices. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
