Press release from the City of Marion: 11/22/2021 9:06 AM Marion City Hall and other City offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 25 and Friday, Nov. 26 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular business hours resume on Monday, Nov. 29. Police, Fire and other critical City services will continue to be provided. Garbage, recycling and yard waste will not be collected on Thanksgiving Day and pick-up will be delayed by a day for both Thursday and Friday routes. Saturday will be the final day for curbside yard waste collection in 2021. The Yard Waste Facility, located at 195 35th Street, will also be closed on Thursday and Friday. It will be open on Saturday from 8 a.m.-4:15 p.m. and Sunday from noon-4 p.m. The Recycling Drop-off Center will maintain its normal hours on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 8 a.m.-4:15 p.m. Marion Public Library's Uptown Branch (1064 7th Avenue) will close at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24 and will remain closed on Thursday, Nov. 25 and Friday, Nov. 26. The Technology Station at the Marion Columbus Club (5650 Kacena Avenue) will also be closed on Thursday and Friday. Regular hours for both locations resume on Saturday, Nov. 27. Utility payments will be accepted online or via the drop box located outside the Marion Water Department office, located at 3050 5th Avenue. This press release was produced by the City of Marion.
