House Manager Theatre Horizon Job Description Theatre Horizon seeks a House Manager to serve as a highly visible and integral part of the theatre’s front of house and customer service experience. The House Manager reports to the Audience Engagement Manager and oversees all volunteer ushers. The House Manager must have proven experience in customer relations. All applicants should be prompt, organized, and able to work well with a team. Specific duties for the House Managers include: Arriving 1.5 hours prior to a performance to ensure the lobby and house are ready for the public.Training and supervising volunteer ushers each night.Ensures volunteer ushers and patrons abide by Theatre Horizon’s safety protocols related to COVID 19. Ensuring the bathrooms are stocked and clean.Assisting any patrons as needed, including patrons with special needs.Making a curtain speech if necessary.Acting as a point of contact for patrons, staff, and production team.Drafting a performance report each show that is mailed to staff.Turning off all lights and locking the theater after performances (if Stage Manager has left already).
