You live alone, have a busy career, and at the end of the day you want a little company, but nothing too demanding. Just someone who will curl up with you on the couch, watch some TV, get some snuggles and loves, who will see you to the door in the morning and greet you at the door in the evening. When Ernestine cannot be with her person, she is curled up, contentedly, sleeping with Star. Ernestine and Star came from a very unfortunate situation. Food was scarce, and not all attention was positive. They spent all of their time outside and used each other for comfort and warmth. Eventually, their people moved away and abandoned them. Although Star has developed a distrust of people, her foster mother believes that she can be won over. She now allows short lap times before running back to her safe spot, and she has been known to explore the house at night when people are asleep. Ernestine loves to be loved, and wants a home...but would be lost without Star. Both girls are dedicated litter box users, and keep themselves clean.
