Job Title: Service Valet/Certified Technology Expert Stevinson Lexus of Frederick is seeking a Service Valet/Certified Technology/Product Expert to join their Service team. Previous dealership experience is helpful. Compensation: $17.00 per hour + $1500.00 Sign-On / Retention Bonus Work Hours: Full Time schedule as defined JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Valet duties include hand washing and cleaning vehicles as needed, moving vehicles to facilitate good vehicle flow in the service drive, assisting customers by directing them to proper location and helping and assisting management as requested. The certified technology expert (CTE) duties include advising customers on vehicle infotainment, comfort and safety systems with special attention to features, benefits, functionality and information. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintains LCCS and customer vehicle appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles. • Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down doorjambs of completed service vehicles as needed. • Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris of completed service vehicles as needed. • Perform requested lot duties related to seasonal weather requirements. • Keeps service drive, shop, and service drive neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the management and in accordance with dealership display standards. • Sweeps, shovels or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and removes containers from work areas. • Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations. • Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed. • Assists with Valet/Service Greeter duties when directed my management. • Other duties as assigned. • Gathers customer information as it relates to their smartphone, Bluetooth-enabled devices, and GPS needs. • Demonstrates features and functionality of on-board systems including radio, comfort and convenience, and safety. • Intervenes in any customer dissatisfaction situations that arise due to technology. • Attends any manufacturer or aftermarket training available. • Offers value-added services such as loading customers’ music collection on flash drive if vehicle has USB capability. • Is dealership “go to” person for all tech questions and inquiries. • Remains compliant with company training and compliance programs in Compligo. • Maintains professional appearance. Skills and Requirements • English language required, (Bilingual a plus) • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one with supervisor and customer and small group situations with customers. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. • Valid Driver’s License • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to: fumes, airborne particles, and weather-elements. • A minimum of 6 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
