Service Technician III Alaska Trailer is seeking a Service Technician III - [Senior level] for a fast paced and expanding trailer dealership. We are seeking a service professional who would be responsible for both shop and customer equipment maintenance and repairs. This individual will provide critical support to our customers and those who choose to conduct business with Alaska Trailer. Service Technicians enjoy the benefits of a team environment without sacrificing the ability to work independently. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Must have strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize tasks effectively & adapt to changing priorities. Must be able to work independently to achieve team objectives as well as provide team support. Must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical problems on customer units, and set up new equipment per manufacturer and customer specifications. Maintain their work area and shared shop tools in a clean and safe working order. Must have a positive attitude, the ability to work as part of a team, and able to take on any necessary tasks to fulfill all duties. Load and unload equipment customers are picking up or dropping off as needed Thoroughly clean equipment before it enters the service department Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, bend, squat, reach overhead, lift, push, pull and is occasionally required to work outdoors in all weather conditions. The employee must be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs. and perform lifting of 75 lbs. with assistance. Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Minimum of one to three years related experience. Ability to pass forklift / telehandler operator course and drive a forklift Must have up to date welding certification. Must possess a valid driver’s license, and be subject to insurance carrier’s approval. Must be able to work a 40 hour week, and be able to work extended seasonal hours as set by store opening and closing & be able to work Saturdays.
