By your endurance you will gain your lives."Luke 21:16-19 Contextually, Luke 21:16-19 points the destruction of Jerusalem, but prophetically it points to a future great tribulation - a time of intense persecution where the world will turn violent against those who stand firm in Christ. It is during this most difficult of times that Jesus makes a promise: those who endure will gain their lives. This cannot be physical life as there will be some delivered up for martyrdom. Rather, the life that Jesus says is gained by endurance is eternal life. While it is true that we are saved by grace alone, it is also true that the faith that saves is also faithful to the end. This faith will be tested as we endure social, economic, and political upheaval and so the purpose of our conference this year is to challenge, encourage, and equip you to have a faithful faith – one which will endure to the end.
