We are a bonded public works/municipal building and site work general contractor who performs many general construction trades in house mainly on long island but some in the boroughs as well. We are looking for an Quantity Takeoff/Estimator with at least 7 years experience assisting with competitively bidding public works projects for immediate hire. You must know how to quantify all general construction trades yourself and not rely on subcontractors for your pricing. You do not have to know how to price work but you will need to have a thorough understanding of the detailed components of a task and be able to quantify the task. We do get sub quotes as back ups and all MEP quotes from subs. I am not listing all the duties required for this position like most ads do. If you are the right person for this job you will know the skills required.Working knowledge of Planswift a must. AutoCAD a bonus We don't place emphasis on degrees as long as you know exactly what you are doing. Salary will commensurate with experience. Please send your resume
