Fort Point Arts Community is looking for assistant volunteer gallery sitters for the FPAC Gallery at our 300 Summer Street building in Fort Point. 300 Summer (also known locally as "The Artist Building") is an artist-owned live/work cooperative. The artists' gallery space was named the best gallery in Boston in 2020 by Boston magazine. The gallery sitters would receive training from artists in residence (including information on gallery rules, art sales, and COVID guidelines). This would be a fitting volunteer position for young artists and college students with a passion for the arts, or anyone interested in learning more about the inner workings of artist communities in Boston. Each volunteer would have a regular weekend shift based on their schedule for the duration of an exhibition. The exhibition this December is Messaging Nature. Works by three artists depicting community, communication, and environmental health are on display.
