Maintenance Technicians (experienced) South Metro Housing Options (SMHO) seeks to strengthen our community by creating opportunities for diverse housing alternatives. We are a non-profit Housing Authority serving the Littleton area since 1971. The organization currently owns and/or manages various housing properties consisting of approximately 500-plus units within the community. The programs include subsidized housing which directly help elderly and disabled persons, and low-income families obtain safe, stable, affordable housing. SMHO is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians. (This is not a janitorial position). We are looking for a career-minded individuals who are self-motivated with knowledge that includes the following essential duties and responsibilities: • Requires a basic to advanced knowledge of the principles, practices, materials and methods of plumbing, mechanical and electrical system maintenance and repair; general building and facilities maintenance and repair; • Requires basic to advanced knowledge of principles and practices of equipment operation and use as well as hand and power tool operation and use; • Requires solid knowledge of dry-walling, painting, plumbing, appliance repair, principles of working with electricity, and use of appropriate tools to perform such work. Full job description available upon request. Salary and position level is dependent upon skill/knowledge level. If you are multi- or bi-lingual in any languages, that would be considered as a plus. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: · High school diploma or GED equivalent work experience · Prefer at least one year of basic maintenance and/or general labor experience · Requires a minimum of 1 year of solid experience in building maintenance and repair.
