1- In Berlin, circa 1934, extremists proclaimed the press was "their enemy" and "you can't trust the press." They did this in an effort not only to censure, but to silence the press. 2- To believe "If you believe anything CNBC reports you are s sucker" is in itself the words of one who has been lied to. In an age when everyone on the planet has a camera and a video recorder in their own pockets or purse, and the means to share ideas free, worldwide, news has never been more scrutinized and held to be accountable than any time in this nation's history. The firing of Brian Williams from his high paid anchor job at NBC alone should tell you that. 3- When a president tells you "The news is America's number one enemy" and you believe it, it closes you to the truth about said president, and allows you to return to the premise of this post (Berlin circa 1934.)
