Trying to start a metal band

I'm in my twenties. I can play lead guitar, rhythm guitar, or drums. I want to get together and try to write some originals. I have no desire to be in a cover band. I like playing heavier stuff (i.e. tuned down 1.5-3 whole steps) rather than shredder metal or bands like Avenged Sevenfold that play too much in the upper register. I also listen to a lot of nu metal/rap metal, if you want to go that route. Some of my top influences are: Pantera, Rammstein, Mudvayne, Megadeth, Early Metallica, Rob Zombie, Alice In Chains, Disturbed, TOOL, Marilyn Manson, Godsmack, Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park, Flyleaf, Soundgarden I'm not expecting to get famous. I'd like to hit the recording studio eventually. But my problems trying to find bands on craigslist have been that everyone here takes music too seriously. I will play with anyone who has passion for making some awesome metal. I don't care what your skill level is. I think people who suck but are pissed off and full of emotion can make just as good metal as anyone whose studied their instrument for years and technically mastered the instrument. I hope to find people with the same attitude.
