Stratford CT

Description

Guitarist / vocalist and drummer are looking for a keyboard player. To give you an idea of our musical wheelhouse, our current set list is included below. Here are the specs: • We practice once or twice per month on Sundays from 1:30-2PM to 3:30-4PM in Stratford; • We are in our mid-50s – the goal is to have fun playing the music – we are not completely against playing out, but we have been there and done that – we’re tired of playing bars, but would consider occasional gigs at corporate events, golf/yacht clubs, charity events, etc. (but our situation would NOT work for someone who wants to play out on a regular weekly basis); • NON-NEGOTIABLES: NO DRUGS, NO EXCESSIVE ALCOHOL USE, NO BIG EGOS, NO DRAMA, NO HOTHEADS, NO “KNOW-IT-ALLS,” NO BOSSY PEOPLE, NO WRAP SHEETS, NO ANGRY PEOPLE, NO ATTITUDES (we mean no offense, but we simply want to have fun jamming and playing music – we don’t want to get into heated arguments and we don’t want to just sit around getting sloshed) • We are both super busy with our day jobs, so the best we can do is a practice once or twice per month on Sunday afternoons – if you are looking for something more intense, then this is not for you! We are both seasoned veterans at this, but we do NOT demand perfection and will NOT make you feel like a moron if you make mistakes! In other words, this is a low pressure environment and will work for intermediate level players who might not have the same level of stage or studio experience that we have. • The following are some of the songs that are on our current set list. If these tunes are not in your wheelhouse, please do not respond (we have had folks join who did not like our tunes at first, but then tried to make it work – if you don’t dig these tunes right out of the gate, please opt out): • Eagles - Take it Easy • Eagles - Tequila Sunrise • Eagles - Hotel California • Eagles – I’m Already Gone • Grapevine - CCR • Tom Petty - Last Dance with Marry Jane • Tom Petty - American Girl • Tom Petty – Learning to Fly • The Greg Kihn Band - The Breakup Song • John Mellencamp - Pink Houses • Zombies - She's Not There • I Got You - Split Enz • Play that Funky Music - Wild Cherry • Rambling Gambling Man - Bob Seger • Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison • You Ain's Seen Nothin' Yet - BTO • Tommy TuTone - 867-5309 (The “Jenny” song) • Looking Glass - Brandy • Rolling Stones - She's So Cold • The Kinks – Do It Again • Joe Cocker’s Version - She Came In Through The Bathroom Window • Cars – Just What I Needed • Cars – Best Friend’s Girlfriend So, the bottom line is that we are trying to put all of this up front so that we do not waste anyone’s time. Finally, we are both middle-aged, so please be FULLY VACCINATED! If you think this might be something in your wheelhouse (i.e., a low stress but professional musical environment, free of hotheads, large egos, drugs, and drama), please drop us a line and let us know what you think! Thanks!
