Join us in the garden on Dec 12th for an authentic Mexican meal and to help transform the lives of Zacatecas Low-income women in becoming economically self-sufficient. Come have fun for a great cause: -Decorate christmas ornaments -Play Loteria (Mexican Bingo Game) -Participate in raffle of a basket of Plant-based Hair and Skin Care products Why are we having this brunch?The access to food and opportunities for small communities in Zacatecas, Mexico, declines each year as drug cartels take control over the area. Adding this to the effects of the pandemic, women in the region find themselves forced to stay in a relationship where domestic violence is predominant because they are not financially independent to support themselves and their offspring. The money we fundraise from this brunch will pay for:Quarterly free classes and training to low-income women to help them recognize patterns and limiting beliefs that keep them in circles of abuse and poverty. Skills training to help them engage in jobs and activities that provide personal satisfaction, life enrichment, and financial independence.The facilitator(s) and coach(es) of each sessionThe room where the classes are being held.Daycare for the kidsMeals for all attendees and their kids**This event is outdoors** We will follow COVID protocols required by Alameda county.Choose to dine-in, take out or donate; any amount will make a big difference.
