Australian Cattle Dog

North Port FL

Description

He is a good dog, just a lot of puppy exuberance. He knows a few commands (sit, wait, quiet) and he loves to play fetch. He is not getting along with my landlord’s dogs because of his excitement. He wants to play, and the older dogs do not. Due to my disability, I am unable to give him the amount of exercise he needs. I have even tried riding a three-wheeled bike with him on leash beside me. He did great; me, not so much. He needs someone with experience in the breed (Australian Cattle Dog, aka Blue Heeler) or at least herding breeds. He tries to herd me, so I won’t let him get close to the small children that live here. He does jump up on you to get your attention, but he is learning to sit for attention. I think that once he can get more exercise, he will calm down somewhat. Purebred but not registered (Wisdom DNA verified) He turns one year on November 19th. All shots, micro-chipped, not neutered. Very high energy and needs training. Crate Trained, house broken. He comes with ex-large Kong dual door crate, leash, Halti Head-Collar, toys (including a puzzle toy), Clicker (and training book), and his remaining food. A rehoming fee will apply but is negotiable to the right home. The last few pictures are of him as a small pup. Please do not ask if he is still available, if the ad is up, he is still looking for the right home. Please email me with question and to set up a time to meet. Also, please include your experience with herding dogs and what a tipical day would look like for him. His name is Cinadar (like cinnamon, but with 'dar' at the end).
