Indie-pop band looking for a bassist

Meets

Phoenix AZ

Description

Hello! My name is Mandi and I have an indie-pop project called Lane Lines. I am a vocalist with a background in choral, jazz, and harmonic singing. My influences include Imogen Heap, The Japanese House, Kimbra, Christine & the Queens, Fleet Foxes, Alvvays, and Diane Coffee. The band is currently consisted of: - Mandi (30, she/her): vocalist, primary leader of the band - Austin (30, he/him): samples & synths, my collaborator for the album - Macy (24, she/her): guitarist, recent addition to the band - Matt (26, he/him): drummer, studied jazz percussion and is a session drummer around town Practice would ideally be held either weekly or bi-weekly at Austin's home in downtown Phoenix, depending upon band member's schedules and commitments. Additionally looking for someone who shares the same values as us: supporter of LBGTQIA+ rights, BLM, women's rights, accessibility & sustainability, mental health awareness, and all-around being a good human being to others. If you are interested in joining us, and feel like you're a good fit, please answer the questions below, and hopefully you and I can meet up over some coffee to discuss further details: 1. Do you have reliable transportation? If not, please explain your plan for attending rehearsal, gigs, band meetings, etc. 2. Are you currently employed and/or in school? Additionally, how do you generally spend your free time (hobbies and such)? 3. If provided music, after how much time rehearsing on your own do you expect to have your parts learned? We have some shows currently in the works for January, so I'm looking to book a bassist immediately to begin rehearsal. Looking forward to hearing from you!
