Description
Approx. 8 weeks old. 1 brown female, 1 silver female, 1 golden male. Their feral mom, with dads’ help, lead the two females into my garage on Oct 28. I decided to move them inside the next day and got bit by both of them in the process. A few days later the mom brought over the male on Halloween. I'm guessing they were about 4-5 weeks old at that time. After a couple days of seeing and hearing her kits through the cat door, mom worked up the courage to come inside to nurse a couple times a day, while they also ate canned food. All learned the litterbox right away. The brown female was easily socialized within a week or so. The other two took a lot more work and patience than I had expected. They had no problems getting close enough to play with toys but had an obvious fear of my hands, no doubt due to the initial human contact being an abduction from garage. Now they will eat out my hand, let me pet them while they eat, will play and rest in my lap when enticed with a toy, and let me pick them up if done carefully.....but definitely not 100% socialized just yet, maybe 90-95%. They've made more progress in past few days than in the past few weeks, so I think now is a good time for adoption by someone with previous experience, and/or patience. They've had free run of my house which has been otherwise quiet, with only me, my adult mostly outdoor cat, and few human visitors around, so it'll probably take them some time to adjust to a busier household. The silver female is the most timid, unless she's eating chicken breast, then she growls if anyone gets too close, very funny. They've been eating mostly canned and some dry purina pro plan kitten food, becoming very vocal at feeding time in the past few days. Haven't been to vet, but they all seem happy and healthy, haven't seen any fleas. Giving preference to anyone willing to take more than one. $40 adoption fee will include a pet carrier and possibly some leftover food and toys.
