Description
Forming a Garage Rock duo to play shows in the Austin area. I don't have a rehearsal space to bring a drum kit to, so I either need to partner with a drummer who has a space or find a drummer with an electric kit.
Either way, an electric kit would be handy. With this project, I plan on playing random street shows in different places around austin. I feel like an electric kit would be easier for set up and break down. Working on figuring out power supplies, but there seem to be some options.
Requirements:
-At least one arm and one leg (rent is just so expensive now AMIRITE?)
-You aren't a hobby musician (you have the drive and dedication to commit to a project)
-Coachable, (the music I write has some rhythms that seem to trip people up a bit, so there will be moments where I'm like "ok, not dun dun DUN, but dun dun dun DUN dun dun")
-Team mentality, you play for the song (if we write, I will mostly defer to your judgment on drum beats, but there are times when I hear certain things, like a snare hit in a certain spot, which I will convey, we will implement, and if it doesn't feel right, we take it out. I just need someone with little musical ego. Collaboration is key. Also, I love receiving suggestions, so if you have some ideas, throw them out there)
If you like the sound of this, please send me a link with some samples of yourself. I will respond with samples from the new project.
