Signing their own death warrants (and ours as well) The Old Russia was in some ways similar to how the US is today. They had a long standing conservative government in the Czar, and had been generously giving freedoms away, allowing the country to become more liberal and “free”. Examples are we had our civil rights movements 70 years ago here in the USA and Russia had granted Peasants freedom in the 1800s additional rights allowed a representative Duma in 1907, other freedoms followed. However all of this new found freedom came with a frightful danger. Various men and groups realized these freedoms could give them an opportunity to gain full control under false premises and set themselves up as rulers for all time. This Bolshevism under Lenin and especially Stalin and others started to make plans. The leftist-liberals allowed these militant Commies to gain power as they were assured they would work together. In 1917 after Russia was defeated by Germany the new “Provisional Government” was formed composed of moderate leftists and liberals the majority group of over 40% was called the Socialists Revolutionaries. The Czar and conservatives had been stripped of power—-they had won. Or so they thought. At that time the Bolsheviks (2nd most populous party) sprang their long planned coup into effect and seized power through force of arms. Entire books have been written about the revolution and struggle that followed. Suffice it to say most leftists of moderate and liberal persuasion were eventually executed or sent to Gulags. They were treated as harshly or worse than the conservatives. I think because being closer to Communism they realized the true evil it was capable of and Lennon/Stalin KNEW that. So lesson over. What’s my point today? You leftists I’m afraid are following the same historical lines as Russia did. We don’t have Bolsheviks exactly so to say but we have a newly formed substitute that wants to follow the same game plan.
