friend in desperate need furniture

My friend has lost everything due to having multiple surgeries on his knee. He is on SSI and just secured permanent housing and is unable to work due to multiple knee reolacement surgeries on the same knee. He is in need of a queen mattress/box spring, couches, chairs, kitchen table and chairs, side tables, lamps, linens, dishes, kitchen supplies, garbage cans, rugs and other household related items. If you are getting rid of anything you think he may need could you please give it to him because he is in great need? Christmas is coming and he has nothing and is barely surviving on his very limited income. He has no one to help him but me and i cannot afford to buy him furnature or i would. Im counting on the generosity of complete strangers. i was a stranger to him almost 2 years ago and have done my best to get him literally back on his feet. Im trying to be a good person and pay it forward as so many ppl do also. Hes in Bridgeport and only has a small car and cant haul big items.
