Description
Attention Wake County Residents: The Wake County Animal Shelter is in need of many more foster homes (for dogs & cats) and dog walkers. We have approximately 45 dogs on the adoption floor that we try to get out twice per day for walks. Many are house-trained and need to get out for potty breaks and regular exercise. We do not have enough walkers currently and many dogs are getting out only once per day which is not good for their physical well-being or their house-training.

If you're not able to have a pet full time, but love animals and would like to help, we can always use more FOSTER HOMES. Through this program, you get to choose which dog or cat you bring home and the shelter covers the cost of all food, supplies, and vet care. We even provide bowls and beds. This is an excellent way to help animals in need and be able to spend time with a dog or cat without the cost of ownership.
