End-Of-Year African Performing Arts & Culinary Showcase ZAIDI AFRICA is an African performing arts display and Tapas-style culinary showcase to celebrate life through out the year and to look beyond to an amazing future. Our theme for this end of year showcase is "Rising Beyond Limitations" We will have professional singers, drummers and dancers to entertain you as well as a tapas-style dinner with cuisines from all over Africa. This has never been done before! It is truly a unique performance to experience and a memorable delight for your taste buds. ABOUT ALC The African Leaders Council (ALC) is a Florida 501(c)3 nonprofit established in 2015 to serve US Citizens and Permanent Residents who are African immigrants and descendants of African immigrants by improving their quality of life. We help individuals all over Florida through social, health, education, cultural and economic programs such as workshops, community outreach, and conferences. Every year during September, we loudly and proudly, celebrate the contributions and positive impacts our community has accomplished throughout the state of Florida. VISION We envision a Florida community where US Citizens and Permanent Residents, primarily composed of African immigrants and their descendants across national origin, tribes, and language have proper access to resources and are actively engaged in civic growth, cultural awareness and sustainable capacity building. MISSION Our mission is to help create awareness and foster integration and prosperity in the African diaspora through impactful cultural connections, development of strong community leadership and education in economic, social, health, cultural and educational advocacy. This mission is also known as our four pillars: INTEGRATION: Help the African diaspora integrate ADVOCATE: Advocate for economic, social, health, cultural and educational prosperity. AWARENESS: Create visibility through cultural and impact campaigns COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP: Develop strong cross-cultural leaders and good citizens where they live and work.
