Take your welding skills to the next level in this 4-hour workshop If you took Genna Worthley's Intro to Welding class, you're ready to apply and grow the skills you learned in this 4-hour workshop. You'll learn more MIG welding techniques as Genna walks you through a small-scale project that highlights the difficulty of building with mild steel. You'll leave with practical skills for welding the steel structures, machines, and sculptures that you really want to make. Bio: Genna left her native Portland to attend Eastern Michigan University, where she was a Division I swimmer and art student. Her specialty was jewelry, but after graduating, through an apprenticeship in metal fabrication, she changed her artistic focus to building larger metal pieces that combine function with aesthetics. She continued learning about metal work with certificate courses in machining at Southern Maine Community College. Genna joined Factory 3 as one of its first members, and is the metal shop leader.
