Novices to seasoned backcountry users, build a skill set or refresh knowledge that will help you be self-sufficient in the Cascade Mountains The evening curriculum will provide an overview on risk management, terrain management, and route-finding related to ski and splitboard mountaineering here in the Pacific Northwest from ACMG certified guide, Solveig Waterfall. Refresh and learn essential skills for the winter ahead! Ticket price includes a few hours of expert guidance on local areas and terrain, Arc'teryx swag, entry into our raffle and a SheJumps Alpine Development School workbook to take away and use throughout the season. Doors open: 6pm School starts: 6:30pm School ends: 9pm More about Alpine Development School: The Alpine Development School is a women's lecture program created by the nonprofit SheJumps. ADS provides an overview on risk management, terrain management, and route-finding related to ski and splitboard mountaineering. From novices to seasoned backcountry users, the ADS is an opportunity to build a skill set or refresh knowledge that will help you be self-sufficient in the mountains. The ADS curriculum is drawn from the SheJumps Alpine Finishing School, an award-winning ski and splitboard mountaineering course held annually in British Columbia.
