A Holiday Family Tradition, we are presenting our Holiday Lights & History Walking Tour. This is a crowd favorite, during the festive season Denver has been known as the "Christmas city" for the past 60 years. We will be taking you on an historic journey through Denver, set to the backdrop of the most beautiful holiday lights in the downtown area. Take this enjoyable walking tour with your friends and family. As the center of Denver's Holiday Lights Display, we will be stopping at the breathtaking, City and County Building. You will love stopping at the Christkindl German Market for some hot chocolate, a giant pretzel, or roasted almonds, while thousands of Holiday Lights twinkle in the background. As you stroll through this tour, you will hear stories of old Denver. This walking tour ends at the Giant animated Holiday Tree, which is located in the heart of the city. Note: this is not a round trip tour. You can return to the start on foot, the 16th Street Mall Shuttle (with an additional short walk). a Lyft or an Uber are always recommended After the tour, you will be able to spend time shopping on the 16th Street Mall. Stops include: The Denver Art MuseumThe Byers-Evans MansionThe City and County Building (the center place for holiday lights in Denver)Civic Center Park Colorado State Capitol (we don't go to the steps, but discuss interesting facts, from Civic Center Park).Christkindle German Market (we will spend 15 minutes here, for a chance to grab some snacks) Note: if the line is unreasonably long, we may have to skip this stop. You’ll typically have the opportunity to return to the market, after the tour is over.The Denver MintCurry-Chucovich houseThe Brown Palace HotelDenver Pavilions 16th Street MallEnds at the Large Animated Holiday Tree, on 16th and Welton.This is a walking tour, that covers approximately. 1.3 miles. It is not a round trip tour; however, you can easily get back to the starting location by hoping on the free 16th Street Mall bus, combined with a short walk from the last bus stop, or you can just walk back. Note: this is not a round trip tour. We recommend taking an Uber or Lyft to and from the tour, for the best possible experience. If you decided to drive, you can park at the parking garage, located at the Denver Art Museum. It is located at 12th and Broadway, just past the Art Hotel. Please arrive 5 minutes early. We can not hold tours for latecomers. *All tickets are non-refundable-no exceptions* Please do not arrive to the tour if you are not feeling well, have a temperature, coughing, sneezing, etc. If you are not feeling well, please give us a call, and we will attempt to move your reservation to another night. Note: all changes must be done, at least 24 hours, before the start of your tour. Please do not show up to the tour drunk, or under the influence of a substance. In keeping inline with current CDC recommendations, guests who are fully vaccinated do not have to wear mask. Because we go into the Brown Palace Hotel, please bring a mask; privately owned business may have mask requirements.
