Learn the basics of mosaic art and create your own original mosaic to take home. About this event Join artists Sharon Plummer and John Gregory, whose work is featured permanently in Smither Park, for a beginner mosaic class! Learn the basics of creating an original mosaic work of art, from tracing your image, to finding the perfect colors, to cutting and nipping tiles, and eventually affixing it onto a base. You'll leave the class with a basic knowledge of mosaic-ing, and take home your piece of art to grout yourself, or the option to return the following month to grout with the teachers. Designed for ages 16+ and limited to 10 students per class. Ticket includes all materials needed. Takes place entirely outdoors in Smither Park, under the shade of the Smither Park Vinson & Elkins Pavilion. Street parking available.
