The Itals have been on the forefront of touring reggae acts since the early 80s. Led by Keith Porter out of Savana La Mar, Jamaica, the band is still in full bloom; bursting with creative vitality and bearing ripe, musical fruit. Spreading the message of love and oneness to fans far and wide, you can hear their music playing all over the world. Porter’s endurance is remarkable as his energy and passion never seem to wane. The Itals are living examples of the “Rasta Philosophy” – the title of their Grammy-nominated album. Keith Porter has been a successful artist since his earliest beginnings in 1967. Shortly after releasing his hit single “Ina Dis Ya Time” in 1976, he co-founded The Itals. Their name comes from the Jamaican patois word meaning natural or pure. They were soon recognized as one of Jamaica’s premier “harmony groups.” The Itals’ roots reggae sound has remained focused on positivity, love and higher consciousness. Keith Richards has referred to “Ina Dis Ya Time” as “the perfect reggae track.” We are honored to bless up 2022 with a foundational reggae artist like Keith Porter and The Itals.
