Join us in celebration of Small Business Saturday for Verde’s Studio Blessing Ceremony, featuring a special performance by Mexica Dance Group Kalpuli Macuil Xochiitl Maizal. Since opening in 2011, Verde’s mission has been to help those seeking wellness through Mesoamerican healing traditions, Eastern Medicine, and local practices. Our new home on 18th street is a serene environment where all are welcome to explore and heal their body-mind-spirit connection. Join us in celebration of Small Business Saturday with a performance by Kalpuli Macuil Xochitl Maizal and to kick of the ESDC’s 2021 Pilsen Community Christmas Window Walk with ESDC! Kalpuli Macuil Xochitl Maizal, formerly known as Nahul Ollin Quetaxalyotol, is a community based group formed in May 2006. Macuil Xochitl aims to bring its ancestral culture to Chicago by creating a space to learn and connect with Mexica roots. Macuil Xochitl consists of dancers between the ages of 2 and 65 and performs at protests, museums, weddings, cultural events, and more all over the city.
