A Healing Space for Black Men and Women to address Internalized Oppression and the impact on the dynamics of Black Men, Women and Families. Greetings Family! We are excited to bring this experience to you. This is a Partnership sponsored and hosted by A Place for Peace, PLLC and Harmony Health, PLLC. This will be a weekend of activities that are guided by the Healing Processes of: Getting Acquainted- Casual, laid back activities for rapport building, setting group rules, and preparing for our journey ahead.Recognize- Learning about the impact of Internalized Oppression and White Supremacy has on relationships between Black Men, Women and Families. How does this impact show up in our ability to have healthy relationships? Learn ways to start the healing process and unlearning.Repair- Mending. Opportunities for taking steps in Healing self, Purging, Unlearning, Relearning, Loving, and Committing to Self Work.Reconcile- Continuing the conversation of Self Work, Taking Accountability, Linking Up, Lifting Up, More Mending. Creating Opportunities for rebuilding, making new & healthier connections. Commitment. What am I taking away to my home, family and community?This Weekend Retreat includes your lodging, meals, snacks and refreshments, activities, workshops, welcome gift, and healing supplies. Lodging is a dormitory style space. Men and Women will have their own rooms and bathrooms. Rooms and bathroom are located on opposite sides of the hall. There is a common space that we share during workshops and activities. There will be times for fun, healing, building, reflection and open to enjoy time for yourself or for a walk on the beautiful property. There will be an opportunity to buy wellness items such as herbs, soaps, incense, body butters/scrubs and more! We look forward to seeing you there! TICKETS *Early Bird Special for those who register before January 30th, 2022. Payment Plan requires NON REFUNDABLE $100 [$75 registration fee plus $25 payment plan processing fee] deposit, and you will be invoiced. Payment plans are NOT OFFERRED after January 15th, 2022. This is a NONREFUNDABLE deposit to hold your slot. Bring your best dressed to party at "Club Ubuntu".Bring Your Best Dressed Pajama Set for our "We are Family" Pajama Party. [Keep it Modest, Please]. Each day will include time for morning yoga/ meditation, evening journaling and reflections. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Refreshments and snacks are included.
