Join Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. to celebrate the legacy of Dr. King and help recognize outstanding community leaders. For the past 15 years, the SWFL Alpha Educational & Leadership Foundation, Inc. in conjunction with the members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Xi Omicron Lambda Chapter, has presented the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast. The vision for the breakfast is to bring together diverse members of the community and serve as an example of “unity” as envisioned by Dr. King. This year’s theme is “The Beloved Community: It Starts with Me” We are excited to welcome Shontra Powell, CEO of SPowellCO and Red Zone Fleet Services as our 2022 guest speaker. Mrs. Powell has served as an advisor to Fortune 100 companies and as a Fortune 500 Executive. Mrs. Powell is a current Professor at Florida Gulf Coast University. We will once again also take the opportunity to recognize four of our outstanding community leaders that espouse the spirit of Dr. King with our 2022 “Keeper of the Dream” Award. Join us as we recognize and celebrate these outstanding community leaders: • Rose Eady-Govan - Music Educator, Director & Community Volunteer • Dr. Shandreka McIntosh - Pharmacist, Owner - Sozo Wellness Pharmacy • Lee Pitts - Host, Executive Producer, Creator - Lee Pitts Live • Hugh Starnes, Senior Circuit Court Judge - Retired Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets & reserved tables as soon as possible.
