The Venado Run n Gun will offer some amazing views as the course will take you over one of the highest points in Bandera County. Venado Springs Ranch is a premier ranch located at the edge of the Edwards Plateau. It is renowned for its whitetail hunting and beautiful scenery. The ranch is home to the Joiner Benchmark peak which is one of the highest points in Bandera county. The course will be set up to utilize the mountain range in-order to offer a unique and rare shooting experience. Be prepared to hike the course as there will be some significant elevation changes in order to get to the shooting stages. As part of the Texas Run n Gun Series, the Venado Run n Gun will be formatted in a standard competition format. We will be offering the following competitions: Saturday: 10k: The 10k will be hosted on the North side of the ranch. 7 Stages - Rifle 60 / Pistol 50 (estimated) Sunday: 5k: The 5k will be hosted on the East side of the ranch. 5 Stages - Rifle 50 / Pistol 40 (estimated) Expect a max range around 500 yards for the rifle targets on both days. Challenge Stages (Both Days): Challenge Stages are open to all competitors and spectators for participation throughout the duration of the event! Competitors can purchase tickets for as many rounds as they can handle. There is no limit on the number of times you can shoot each Challenge Stage; compete several times and use your best score to try and win a prize. Use these events to warm up before you enter the course or compete against friends to prove once and for all who is the best marksman of the group. There will be a separate prize and trophy for each Challenge Stage during the awards ceremony. Challenges being offered: Pistol Challenge: A pure steel challenge is what you will be facing at this stage. Rifle Challenge: From a fixed position, see how quickly you can engage and neutralize targets at varying distances. Combo Challenge: Test your transition skills with this combo stage. Competitors will need to engage targets with both pistol and rifle. Refund policy: We are happy to refund ticket purchases up to two weeks prior to an event. Refund requests that occur less than two weeks prior to an event will be denied. You are allowed to transfer your ticket to another competitor.
