Newtown Bypass Closed After Dump Truck Overturns

NEWTOWN, PA — The southbound lanes of the Newtown Bypass at Swamp Road were closed after a dump truck overturned Saturday morning. According to Newtown Township police, the crash was reported at 11:30 a.m. at the entrance to Tyler State Park. Upper Makefield Township Police, Newtown Borough Police and Northampton Fire Police assisted in the crash investigation. Newtown Township Police Department crash investigators were called to the scene, as well as the Newtown Township police chief.
