Description

Bridges of Hope, presented by NAMI Fort Wayne The Lutheran Foundation, in partnership with NAMI Fort Wayne, invites pastors, other church workers, and lay leaders to experience first-hand Bridges of Hope, part of NAMI Fort Wayne’s FaithNet program, which can be brought to your congregation. Bridges of Hope is an educational program designed to help reduce the stigma of mental illness and to promote the vital role of faith in recovery. A team of NAMI volunteers will present information via Power Point slides and share their personal mental health journey stories, focusing on how their congregations helped them by offering comfort and hope in their time of need, and how your congregation can do likewise. A question-and-answer session follows the presentation, as well as information on how you can bring this program to members in your congregation. *Note: This event is free of charge. Seating is limited to 20 people, so register early to reserve your spot. There will be a wait list to accommodate additional participants should local COVID-19 event restrictions change to allow more people. COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place, including socially distanced seating. Face masks will be required. If local COVID-19 restrictions at the time and/or inclement weather prevent this special in-person event from taking place on 1/20/21 as planned, registrants will receive an email notification as soon as that decision has been made, with information about when it will be rescheduled.
