Guitarist Looking For Prog/Metal Musicians

I'm fairly new to the capital region and I'd like to meet musicians in the area that want to jam and if its the right fit try to start a project. I would ideally like to play prog metal and djent stuff influenced by bands like Animals as Leaders, Meshuggah, Opeth, Tool, Dream Theater, Plini, I Built The Sky, Haken, Devin Townsend but that might be more of a long term goal to work towards. I like tons of other genres too and would be happy playing any kind of metal, alt rock, shoegaze stuff as well or even just meeting people in the area that like cool music in general. Pro gear 37 y/o chill.
