Experienced Demonstration Specialist (Prudential Center) © craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap compensation: $25/hour with incentives to earn additional sales bonuses Raymond Hook Specialty (RHS), a nationwide specialty food demonstration service, seeks an enthusiastic in store demonstration specialist based in Boston to effectively demonstrate specialty food products in retail environments in the Flatiron and Downtown area on behalf of RHS clients. Duties: • Educate and familiarize yourself with specialty food products using RHS-provided collateral materials and our clients’ websites. • Arrive on time and fully prepared to set up prior to your demo start time so that demonstrations always begin according to schedule. • Demonstrate specialty food products with skill – appearing knowledgeable, professional, friendly and enthusiastic – using proper portioning technique and optimal serving etiquette. • Adeptly sell products! The goal of every demonstration is to increase sales of the product. • Be prepared to sample and educate the store’s staff on the product you are demonstrating. • Maintain friendly store management relationships in order to ensure future demonstration opportunities. • Photograph the demonstration station and the retailer’s product displays for RHS clients. • Break down demonstration materials and products when scheduled demonstration time is over – never earlier. • File demonstration reports with the Demonstration Department Manager. • Receive and maintain equipment, merchandise, and marketing materials for demonstrations (all equipment and attire – including aprons, hats, sampling bowls, hot plates, etc. – is provided by RHS). Requirements: • A passion for specialty foods and the desire to educate and inspire the consumer on behalf of RHS clients • The ability to work independently • Excellent interpersonal skills • An understanding of marketing and sales needs • A commitment to continuously growing your knowledge of specialty foods • The ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times: clothing must be clean and neat, personal grooming must be meticulous Event Info: Each demonstration lasts 3-4 hours.
