Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Maintains a safe and compliant work environment at all times. Works safely and wears appropriate PPE for task. - Complies with all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures - Loads and unloads various materials such as pallets, totes, drums, etc. - Constructs packaging/boxes/containers and prepares for shipment. - Uses a variety of hand tools such as impact wrenches, drum carts, saws, torches, etc - Moves material within the facility using appropriate equipment such as hand trucks, pallet trucks, forklifts, etc. - Dismantles/sorts materials for recycling/disposal. - Operates and performs routine maintenance/inspections on recycling equipment - Assists in completing paperwork for processing/transportation of materials. - Performs general housekeeping duties and maintains a clean, organized and safe work area. Education/Experience: • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required Certification/Licenses: • 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification Knowledge, Skills and Ability: • Strong team player • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines and simultaneous tasks • Strong customer service orientation • Computer proficient in windows, word, excel, and e-mail at a minimum • Ability to follow through on assignments • General knowledge and understanding of basic chemistry • Arrive on time to the worksite.
