Seattle Children’s Chorus will bring exuberance and choral beauty as we celebrate this season with two live performances of “Hope’s Journey”
In accordance with regulations, the Board of Directors of Seattle Children's Chorus is requiring all ticket holders to either show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or show proof of having received a negative COVID-19 test conducted within 72 hours of the event before entry. The choirs of Seattle Children’s Chorus will bring exuberance and choral beauty as we celebrate this season with two live performances of “Hope’s Journey”. Our three children’s groups: Poco a Poco, Brio and Intermezzo, will describe Hope’s Journey through the wonder filled eyes of a child. This enchanting performance will be a welcome setting for concert attendees of all ages.
Our Youth ensembles, Arioso Camerata and Coro Vivo, have been longing for the opportunity to be back on stage for a live performance of the season’s greatest choral treasures. The concert will include the exquisite music of Morten Lauridsen, John Rutter, Dan Forrest. Two special features of this first performance back will be a performance of Benjamin Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols” by Arioso and Alumni. We will welome Juliet Stratton, harpist, to our stage for this time-honored masterwork. The second marvelous feature of this particular concert will include the premiere performances of commissioned works about Hope written by three regional composers in collaboration with our choirs during the darkest days of this Pandemic. You will be the first to hear the music of Rick Asher, Rebecca Kreutz and Alicia Lewis.
