1946 Kingsley Ave, Orange Park, Florida 30273 Work Week: Tuesday - Saturday Looking to hire asap MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND ABLE TO DRIVE 16FT BOX TRUCK Typically the last contact a customer has with a Badcock representative is the team that visits their home to deliver and set up their new Badcock furniture they've purchased. The customers delivery experience often determines if that customer will return to shop at Badcock and recommend Badcock to their friends and family. Our delivery associates must be polite and courteous and willing and able to take direction from customers about the placement of the furniture in their homes. Constant care in the inspection, prepping and delivery of our products must be taken to meet our customers expectations. Primary Responsibilities: - Verify correct product for delivery or return— - - Ensure that all merchandise is clean and in operating condition prior to delivery - Review necessary information sheets - Load, secure and protect product in delivery vehicle - Offload and install merchandise - Ensure that delivery schedule is followed - Deliver merchandise to customers' homes without additional damage - Assist in the loading and unloading of furniture on and off trucks - Perform routine service calls and product exchanges - Maintaining the store's warehouse in a neat and orderly manner - Assist in maintaining the showroom floor - Safely operate delivery vehicle - Confirm customer identification, collect money and obtain customers signatures - Assist with collections as requested by store management - Review paperwork to ensure that all product has been pulled and ready for delivery Other tasks as assigned by management Qualifications: Minimum six months experience in delivery, warehousing, receiving, issuing, packing, shipping and/or storage of goods. Position routinely requires lifting, loading, and "dollying" merchandise 50-300 pounds A thorough understanding of the proper methods and procedures used in safe receiving, storing, shipping and delivery. Self-management to demonstrate self-control and the ability to manage time and priorities Teamwork Work effectively and productively with others Neatly groomed appearance, cheerful, polite and courteous disposition Good communication skills with ability to take direction Reliable transpiration to get to work MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
