Unity Hope Christmas Concert Since 2014, Labranza Music has been putting on a community-based concert event. This year on Dec 11th at 7pm, We are having our 8th annual Community-Based Christmas Concert. This event is free of charge to attend. Our goal is to bring people together to share the love, hope, and joy we have found in Jesus. We have serval costs that we are trying to cover to make this event happen. Our History What started as two brothers banging pots and pans in their mother's kitchen are now a Latin music group named Antonio y Joel con Labranza. At a young age, Antonio and Joel were inspired by bands like Richie Ray, Bobbie Cruz, David and Abraham, Xariz. The common theme of his inspiration was Salsa Christiana. They loved the sound of salsa but really had a passion for Worship. Mixing the two (worship music and salsa) made sense to Antonio and Joel. Although unpopular at the time, Antonio and Joel persevered - then the concept of creating a tropical heart sound was born. To listen to Antonio and Joel with Labranza live, it is difficult not to dare to praise God. The last 10 years, Labranza has really started to see the fruits of his labor. Christian audiences are most familiar with his songs, It's Great, Scrutinize Me, I Love You, and Deserving of Praise. They have traveled to many cities from Boston to Miami to Puerto Rico. They have ministered with ministers such as Samuel Hernández, Alex Zurdo Danilo Montero, Harry Maldonado and other great ministers. Antonio and Joel con la Labranza are made up of many great musicians such as his younger brother Jonathan, his cousin Miguel and many friends who consider themselves family. "It's a team effort, Labranza is family," says Joel. Labranza continues to collaborate with various artists such as Alex Zurdo, Tony Vega, Jose Flores and others for his next project that is to come. Antonio Valle - For the past decade, respected songwriter, writer, and singer Antonio Valle has been using his gifts to inspire people and lead them to Christ. At the young age of four, he began playing drums and timpani in his local church. Since then, he has mastered many instruments such as piano, bass, trumpet, trombone, sax, and all kinds of Latin percussion. In addition to his many musical talents, he has been blessed with the gift of being the voice of Labranza. Beyond his talents, Antonio works in a local Christian school teaching children various subjects including music. "It is important to be able to pass my knowledge and experience to the next generation of musicians and worshipers." Antonio says. Antonio was born in Pennsylvania- his parents are from Ponce and Moca, Puerto Rico. His mother was a homemaker and his father was a musician and Pastor of his current Church, who resides in the first state of Delaware. Antonio is married to a loving, supportive wife, Melissa, and enjoys time with his 2 beautiful daughters Cianni and Ayiana. Joel Valle - "Passionate" is the first word that comes to most people's minds when describing Joel. He has committed his life to his dream of creating a group that not only seeks the presence of God but also impacts the community in various ways. At the age of 10, his interest in Latin percussion was piqued and he began to hone his talent on the timpani and drums. His passion is evident when he plays the timpani, but the passion doesn't stop there. He is the director, producer and CEO of Labranza and with that comes many challenges and responsibilities that Joel has embraced and continues to overcome. In addition to leading the band, he is the founder and President of MiVar Records. There he co-produces and finalizes all the music made and recorded by with Antonio and Joel with Labranza. Joel also resides in Delaware with his beautiful wife Lashanda and their precious daughters Kayla, Alayna and their son Nathan.
