Seeking Volunteers for Killington Resort, Darkside Snowboards and Burton's 8th Annual Slash & Berm Banked slalom competition Killington Resort, Darkside Snowboards and Burton are teaming up once again for the 8th Annual Slash & Berm Banked Slalom.  Snowboarders will gather at Killington's The Stash terrain park to take advantage of the natural terrain and all the creative elements the mountain has to offer for a great cause.  The action will start on Friday with a Shop Team Invite Only banked slalom event.  Shops will enter teams to compete for the Slash & Berm Banked Slalom title.  Saturday's event is open to all snowboarders and will be timed individually. The action continues on Sunday with the Grom event to take place in the Lil' Stash at Ramshead. Slash & Berm is a banked slalom event to benefit the Burton Chill Foundation held at Killington to bring the East Coast snowboarding community together. Killington Resort will host the 3-day event and we are looking for volunteers to help in 3 key areas: Registration - Volunteers will be responsible for greeting and checking in participants.  Making sure all registration forms are filled out correctly.  Make sure waiver forms are signed.  Hand out competition bibs and shirts, if necessary.  Provide info to the competitors regarding the event.Gate Checkers - Volunteers will be responsible for reporting riders who have fallen or gone off course. Each volunteer with recieve a radio and designated gate. This position will require you to ski/ride to your postition. A lift ticket for the day will be provided.Runners - Runners should plan to work outdoors as responsibilities will vary, so please dress appropriately and bring the proper equipment. We will be working on hill, throughout the Stash terrain park, your ski / snowboard equipment is needed - as well as any extra layers, hats, gloves, facemasks to keep warm. Duties will mainly consist of setting up, taking down and transporting fencing, tents, race gates, signage, wind flags, banners, etc. NOTE: you must feel comfortable in carrying 15-20lbs while skiing / snowboarding as you may be asked to do so. A lift ticket for the day will be provided.Volunteers will receive a lift ticket to return to Killington for every shift worked.  Lift tickets earned are valid 1 year from the date they are received.  Lunch will also be provided for each shift worked.    Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. Sign up is on a first come first serve basis and you will be emailed a confirmation upon sign up. We look forward to another Slash & Berm and hope to include you on our team!
