Hear the Christmas story with children in costume and a menagerie of live animals.
This year, we are reimagining our beloved Bishop's pageant as an experience for our times that all children and their families can take part in safely. We plan to offer all of the seasonal delights of the Nativity, with carols, live animals and lessons from the Gospel, while also offering new opportunities for children and their families to participate in this experience. Gather with your loved ones of all ages to share in this joyful celebration with The Right Rev. Dr. Marc Handley Andrus, Bishop of California.
If you would like your children to take part in the Pageant procession, please email Steph McNally at [email protected] to secure your spaces and receive further information about timing and costuming. Please note that we plan to invite at least one parent to accompany their children this year in the procession. Those walking our pageant would be travelling through a number of points outside and inside the Cathedral.
Advance registration is recommended. For those not preregistered, names and emails will be collected at the door for contact tracing. Masks must be worn and social distancing protocols followed.
Following the guidance of public health officials and our Bishop, we now require that everyone 12 years and older show proof of COVID vaccination before entering the cathedral. To expedite your check-in process visit gracecathedral.org/vax to upload your vaccination verification and receive quicker entry with our Grace Pass. You will receive your Grace Pass within 72 hours if you submit it between Sunday – Thursday.
