Join us for Knoxville Contra Dance's annual dance weekend: Cabin Fever 2022 with Potent Brew and Euphor! With calling by Bob Isaacs. Potent Brew: Time to wake up and smell the dance shoe, ok coffee might be better. Either way you are going to need those dance shoes close by when Potent Brew takes the stage. A contra dance band featuring George Paul  (piano), Steve Kemble (percussion), Ryan McKasson (fiddle), Dave Bartley (Guitar & Mandolin)Ben Schreiber (fiddle) sure to wake you up and start your day with a smile. Euphor: Hailing from the midwest, you will find the mix of Tom Turino on banjo, Matt Turino on fiddle, Michael Valliant on bass, and Sam Payne on guitar will set your feet to tapping and your heart beating. . We are pleased to welcome featured caller Bob Isaacs. He is well known caller and author of some of your favorite dances. Bob is highly regarded in the contra community. Sound by Jamie Platt, who provides high quality sound reinforcement services for concerts, dances, dance camps, festivals, and special events in the Washington, DC-area and all around the Eastern US. The theme for Cabin Fever 2022: “Five Decades of Dance”. Pick a decade, any decade… From the early seventies to today, or celebrate our golden anniversary in you gold lamé bodysuit. In any event, come prepared to dance and to have a wonderful weekend dance experience. In consideration of Covid-19 we will not be arranging housing with locals but we are in the process of arranging discounts at some nearby hotels. COVID Policy: All attendees must be fully vaccinated and present a valid vaccination card (or photo) upon arrival. In recognition of the risks associated with indoor activities all attendees must sign a waiver of liability. We are doing our best to protect you, with extra hand sanitizer and regularly cleaning frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs and water faucets. We encourage people to bring a personal water bottle. We will have a refill station available and will also be selling bottled water at cost. Knoxville Contra Dance is Knoxville's dance community.  We dance to live music every Monday night, 8-11 pm, at the Laurel Theater.
