Attend En Garde Fencing's first two-day HEMA event! Saturday has classes and free-sparring. Sunday is the Sword and Shield Tournament. SUMMARY: Welcome to EGF's first HEMA tournament. This two-day event is split into a Saturday of classes and free sparring at our club in Santa Rosa, and a Sunday tournament. The tournament's format is a refusable format based around sword and shield. This means you can fence with any sword and shield you like, though anything outside of the default sizes can be refused by your opponent. Our aim is to give people who practice all different forms of one-handed sword the chance to let their skills shine and warm up before the big tournaments later in the spring. So come with the messer, the buckler and the rapier! SCHEDULE: Saturday: 10:00am: Doors Open All-day: Classes (TBD) and Free Sparring Sunday: 9:30am: Check-in Ends 10:00am: Pools & Rules Announcement 10:30am: Pools 3:00pm - 3:30pm: Break period 3:30pm - 6:00pm: Elims SWORD AND SHIELD TOURNAMENT RULESET MERCHANDISE: EGF will have limited quantities of t-shirts and patches for sale at the club. There is also a tournament-specific patch for sale for $5 each in limited quantities. Lastly, the second iteration of our NorCal HEMA patch will also be available for purchase at $8/ea.
