Description

Hello. I am moving soon and have a zebra finch in need of a good home. Do not contact me if you have not kept birds before. He needs an experienced home as he is a single bird. Included: Both cages shown. The finch lives in the bigger one, and i have no way of catching him. So you must at least take the larger cage. IF YOU CANNOT TAKE THE LARGER CAGE DO NOT CONTACT ME. The size is about 3 foot wide and 4 feet tall, and 1.5 foot deep. its BIG. All toys are included. Ladders, cuttlebones, nests, perches, bells, waterbowl, etc. The wood on the top and bottom are custom made for the cage. It sits down in the bottom wood tray to contain seeds (cardboard is supplementary to that), and the top wood keeps the bird from getting anxiety from the ceiling fans, and keeps the cats from being able to sit on top and reach through. If you dont want the wood then thats fine, ill just throw it out. The smaller cage is dusty from the garage. Its about two foot wide. The front and back are bowed plexiglass. You have to lift it from the bottom or the top will come off, by design. If you dont want it then ill give it to goodwill. but its a good backup cage. As for the bird, he is a two or three year old male zebra finch. His name is Wheatley. He looks like a regular male zebra finch, with a large black band around the bottom of the neck. Hes a good bird, always a quieter one compared to other birds ive kept in the past. He previously had another male he lived with, who was much older and passed away over a year ago. Ive been busy with college and etc and havent gotten another bird for him. If you already have zebra finches that would be great, but if you dont, he needs a second bird. He suffers from loneliness. I am in springfield and can drive him in the eugene/springfield area, but outside of that and youll have to meet me halfway or here in town. If you have the ability to transport the cage (inside a car, its too cold to put him in a pickup bed or trailer), then you can pick him up at my place. I will not drive him anywhere if you are unsure if you can keep him. I can provide more reference pictures of the size of the cage if that helps. I am asking $40 rehoming fee. This is negotiable, but please keep in mind that the cage alone cost me over a hundred dollars. Similar cages are running $200-600 on petco/petsmart at the moment. The cage is a bit dirty and needs cleaned, but again, i cant catch him (not fast enough), so i dont want to stress him out more then needed to deep clean it. Everything i have for birds is included. All the food and treats, and any toys i find in the pet box in the garage as well. It's my whole lifes worth of birdkeeping equipment. TEXT OR EMAIL ONLY.
