Orange County's 6th Annual Homeless Persons' Interreligious Memorial Service, A National Day of Remembrance The First Day of Winter. The Longest Night of the Year. Each year, thousands of individuals experiencing homelessness die on the streets of our nation die to illness, exposure or violence. Many from our very own community of Orange County. So far this year we have lost over 380 individuals experiencing homelessness to the streets of Orange County. Please join us as we honor and acknowledge their lives as part of the human family. Oragnized by Our Father's Table, Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange, Sisters of Saint Joseph of Orange, Interfatih Network Orange County, Lutheran Church of the Cross, and HomeAid OC. We welcome you to be a part of the "Procession of Candles." You are invited to carry a candle into the Homeless Persons' Interreligious Memorial Service. Sign up to volunteer at https://www.volunteermatch.org/search/opp3425703.jsp Memorial Service can be livestreamed by going to www.mass.christcathedralcalifornia.org   OFT is the missing link in ending homelessness.  Our Father’s Table Project: Restoration, Homeless Intervention Program, has a solution that breaks the cycle of chronic homelessness, one person at a time.  Our work is important because it addresses homelessness at its cause knowing chronic homelessness is a symptom of a deeper-rooted problem.  OFT changes lives, by giving a hand up, not a hand out!  Our work is cost effective and it does not create another program.  Our unique approach puts us in the center of their life as mentor, advocate and most importantly genuine friend giving unconditional love and guidance.  We have lifted over 300 homeless off the streets and 95% have successfully broken their cycle of homelessness.
