There has been a new word added to the Global Benchmarks - EQUITY. Come learn what that really means through an organizational lens. How does an organization know if its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program will show results in today’s sometimes contentious multicultural climate? How should systemic racism and other issues be addressed? Leveraging 112 experts from organizations of all sizes, types, industries, sectors, and world regions, the GDEIB has reached agreement on what makes for success. Please join us for an engaging workshop that ushers it attendees from a theoretical understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion to a tangible one. WNC Diversity Engagement Coalition brings together partner companies to help create a more diverse workforce in Western North Carolina. We believe that a community is based on culture. The Coalition addresses the needs of the community by looking at professional development in a holistic way. WNC Diversity Engagement Coalition invites businesses to adopt best practices for a diverse workforce and provides resources for those businesses.   Annually, WNC DEC hosts programs and events such as Networking Socials, Professional Development Series, Lunch 'n Learns, as well as sponsoring and supporting community events related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
