Introduction to fly-fishing: Learning the basics of what it will take to get on the river. Do you have cabin fever and need to get out? Ever had a desire to learn to fly-fish? Want to know what to buy before getting too involved? Join our four-week class and learn all the ins and outs of fly-fishing equipment, knowing which flies to use and how to use them, what knots to tie and how to tie them, and which local streams you can successfully catch fish on. This class is led by Jim Snyder and Brian Tessener and is perfect for anyone 16 years and up who wants to get started in fly-fishing. We will meet every Thursday in January starting the sixth at 1050 Sam Lattimore Road, Shelby, NC 28152 from 7-9pm. While this is a classroom setting, there will be lots of hands-on practice and training. Cost for the entire four-week class is only $40 and there are a limited number of available seats.
