This training will provide an understanding of the difficulties children with disorganized systems might face in a classroom setting. For 2021, we are PENDING approval to offer 3.0 CEs with the KY Boards of SW and LMFT. This is approved for 3 CEs with LPC.   This course was not submitted to the Psychology or ADC Boards.  The CE Certificates with approved boards are offered at the close of the session. Full participation is required for a CE certificate. This workshop will provide participants with a brief understanding of sensory processing and integration, the development of the theory, the current applications for sensory integration and seven areas of sensory information. It will also give participants an understanding of the difficulties children with disorganized systems might face in a classroom setting and some practical ways to help children with these issues function better in their classrooms. Participants will: * increase their knowledge of sensory integration and how it affects individuals, * be able to define the seven areas of sensory input that an individual experiences, * and have some tools to use in the home or classroom setting to decrease the effects of sensory issues for a child. 2021 Dates: April 14, 9am-12December 8, 9am-12
