Pop Tart (PT) the buff orange cat is about ready for his new home. It has been a long road on his search for a home but he is ready to put his sad past behind him to learn to love a forever family. Why sad? Because it’s been a little too long… he and his two siblings were caught in a feral cat Colony in Bunnell at about ages 7 to 8 weeks old. There was nobody to foster them so they sat in a cage for two weeks with no contact except for daily food and litter change. By the time they went to a foster they were more than scared to death. That foster wanted sweet cuddly kittens so they were passed to another foster but she had to go out of town so they went back into a wire monkey cage for a few weeks - once again with no human handling. The decision was made to put them in three different fosters because splitting them up would make them easier to work with. And they have been doing wonderful in their foster homes. And let me tell you if you have a cat, pop tart will love it and if you have a dog he is OK with dogs. One of his fosters had a Rottweiler and a black German shepherd! And he was not phased by them at all. Included are photos of him with the cats in his two different fosters houses!
He is about 5 to 6 months old, neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, totally vetted. He loves to play — he is not really a lap cat yet but if you sit by him he enjoys many pets and purring.
He would not be good with young children probably under 12. He is not The type of kitty that kids are going to be able to pick up and lug around unless they want to get a small bite or scratched! You have to move slowly around pop tart but as he trusts people and moves away from his past he will also mellow and be the perfect kitty.
